TOFA is an organization founded by farmers and consumers who share a common vision of creating a sustainable and regional food system. Our organization was established to address the challenges faced by small-scale farmers in producing high-quality organic food and to ensure that consumers have access to healthy, nutritious, and organic food.

Our organization comprises farmers, consumers, and other stakeholders who are committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and social equity. We believe that by working together, we can create a food system that benefits everyone, including farmers, consumers, and the environment.

Vision/Mission

Our vision is to create a sustainable and ecologically sound food system that benefits farmers, consumers, and the environment. We believe that by promoting organic farming practices, fair trade, and entrepreneurship, we can create a food system that is economically viable and socially just.

Our mission is to provide suitable conditions for farmers to produce high-quality organic foods and to empower and educate rural communities for self-reliance, poverty reduction, and economic growth. We also promote farmer groups, associations, and farmer-inspired and farmer-owned producer companies for quality production, value addition, storage, branding, and marketing.

Board/Management

TOFA is led by a board of directors who are elected by our members. The board comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise in various fields, including agriculture, economics, and environmental science. The board provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure that our organization operates in accordance with our mission and values.

Our management team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and for implementing the board’s decisions. The team is composed of individuals with expertise in various areas, including program management, fundraising, and outreach. Together, our board and management team work to achieve our vision of a sustainable and regional food system.

In addition to our board and management team, we also have staff members and volunteers who work tirelessly to promote our mission and values. Our staff members are responsible for implementing our programs and initiatives, while our volunteers provide support in various areas, including event planning, outreach, and fundraising.
